Heart Check Our goal for this event is to raise awareness for unknown heart conditions and provide free heart scanning for high school students in honor of Tim Haley

The QMG Foundation's Tim Haley Fund supports children with heart conditions requiring care outside their local community. In June, we assisted a family making frequent trips to their child's specialist, easing the financial burden of travel and accommodation during long-term care. The fund covers expenses for ICU stays, pre-op and post-op appointments, and routine specialist visits. Thank you to all who attended Heart Check this spring, ensuring there are funds available to families in our area.

Yesterday we presented the funds from the Heart Check for Tim benefit. The money raised went to the Scholarship in Timothy’s memory at John Wood Community College. It will be awarded yearly to a baseball player entering their 2nd year at JWCC with high academics. Plus funds presented to Quincy Medical Group Foundation. The funds there are helping kids/families with heart issues.

Record year ✅

Due to all of our fantastic donors, volunteers, and attendees, we were able to raise $19,000 at our annual Heart Check for Tim! This is 20% more than we have raised in any other year! All of the funds raised will go to scholarships in honor of Tim, and local pediatric heart patients.

QMG's cardiology department scanned 194 students, approximately 25% more than any other single year!

We are incredibly grateful for all of your continued support as we continue to grow this fundraiser in honor of Timothy Haley's life and legacy. Thank you all, and we hope to see you next year... mark your calendars for May 8th 2027!

Adult's T-shirts-Small, Med, LG, XL, 2X, 3X & 4X are $15. Long Sleeve $20. Also this year Crewneck Sweatshirt $22 & Hooded Sweatshirt $27. Congratulations to our two recipients of the Timothy L. Haley scholarship at Quincy Notre Dame High School: Gavin Doellman and Tristan Pieper, both multi-sport athletes who are furthering their athletic and academic careers at the next level.

Our annual Heart Check funds these scholarships, AEDs for nonprofits, and assists local pediatric heart patients. Your continued support year after year makes this all possible!

Wow, what a day!!!

We’d like to start by thanking all of our sponsors, donors and volunteers. Without you the annual Heart check for Tim wouldn’t be possible. This community’s response to adversity is incredible, and we appreciate all of your support through this especially this year!

A special thanks is in order for Quincy Medical Group’s cardiology team. These professionals donated their time for the good of our community and were able to scan 194 students, resulting in 4 abnormalities!!! This is our most well attended heart screening in the event’s history!!!

Thank you to our teams who battled it out playing Wiffleball all afternoon. And congratulations to Andrew Rangel’s team on their third consecutive championship!

The funds raised on Saturday are still being totaled, but we will post that here once we know! As always, all funds are applied to scholarships in honor of Timothy Haley, and to local pediatric heart patients!
