The Federalist Society has always stood for rigorous debate and thoughtful discussion of legal and policy issues that pervade American society. In keeping with this tradition, the Campbell Law chapter is proud to sponsor a moderated panel discussion on qualified immunity featuring Prof. Chris Walker of Ohio State University and Clark Neily of the Cato Institute.

Qualified immunity, a judicially created doctrine, is a form of sovereign immunity granted to public officials performing discretionary functions. The Federalist Society at Campbell University School of Law hosted Judge Readler from the 6th Circuit, a recent President Trump appointee, and Professor Zach Bolitho, former Chief of Staff to former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. It was great to hear from two former DOJ staffers tasked with defending U.S. policies during the Trump era.
