Abby Mulry '26, recent Park graduate, was asked to moderate a session with astronaut and NC State alum Christina Koch. The program was called “Astronaut Strategies for College Students." Ms. Koch gave some advice and talked about her experiences navigating challenges, risk and doubt throughout her college years and career. She even talked about the broken toilet on the Artemis II mission!

"I was honored to have the opportunity to speak with such an inspiration to the Wolfpack community and the entire world," said Abby.

From Spiffy to Scripps Pier! 🌊

Vendela Gustafsson '28 met up with Shannon Dolan '22 in San Diego last week. They first connected through Spiffy during Vendela's freshman year at NC State. Now they have both ended up doing research at Scripps Institution of Oceanography for the summer.

The coolest part? They are both studying ocean acoustics in totally different ways:
🔬 Shannon: A UCSD Ph.D. student in the Scripps Acoustic Ecolog Lab studying how ocean noise impacts marine ecosystems.
💻 Vendela: A marine physical lab intern researching computational ocean acoustics and signal processing.
