Come join The Science House at NCCAT on Dec. 7-11, and gain the skills to swap text-heavy slides for powerful diagrams and data visualizations that stick in students' memories. By the end of the workshops, you will have a toolkit of digital resources and drawing strategies to turn every lesson into a clear, visual story.

What a great day of STEM learning at CMAST! ❤️🐺🔬

We had 15 incredible K–5 educators representing seven different counties join us for our newest STEM to Your Doorstep training!

The day was filled with lots of laughter, great conversations, hands-on exploration, and so many good ideas for bringing these tools into elementary classrooms. Teachers explored Xploris probeware, Beaver Bot, STEM literature, makerspace materials, and more, all while thinking about meaningful ways to get students investigating, creating, problem-solving, and talking about science.

The best part? This was just the beginning! Now that these teachers are trained, they have access to borrow this equipment and put it directly into the hands of their students.

15 teachers. 7 counties. A whole lot of STEM headed into classrooms across Eastern NC. ❤️

The Science House is excited to kick off a year-long partnership with Johnston County Public Schools County Public Schools () to provide Sustained Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) support, including high-quality professional development and coaching!

This initiative is part of an Instructional Innovation Grant received from NCDPI through the NC Digital Teaching and Learning Initiative. Dr. Grace Carroll and Marsha Sirkin had a wonderful time kicking off the year with elementary school teachers this week, diving into instructionally grounded innovation to support digital-age teaching and learning.
