This is the last week to submit presentation proposals for the free, two-day symposium hosted by NC State University that will bring together professionals dedicated to improving threat assessment and management in educational settings.

Event Dates: Sept. 16-17, 2026
Location: Raleigh, NC

We’re seeking engaging and thought-provoking presentations that address topics such as:
- Threat assessment frameworks and best practices
- Behavioral intervention and case management
- School and campus safety strategies
- Multidisciplinary collaboration
- Emerging trends, research and real-world case studies

🚨June training opportunity! Join us virtually for Understanding Workplace/Campus Violence Prevention and Your Role, a three-hour program aimed at preventing targeted violence in our communities. For managers and leaders at the university, this training is required every two years, so don’t wait to sign up!

Hosted by the NC State Department of Risk Assessment, this training provides facts about workplace violence, explains warning signs and triggering events, and shares how to best refer concerning behaviors to our department. Participants will also gain an understanding of what constitutes violent behavior and their mandatory reporting responsibilities.
