NC State University Women's Center

NC State University Women's Center Focused on programs and services centered on gender issues and interpersonal violence prevention and response.

The Women’s Center amplifies the voices of students across all intersectional identities, including gender, race, ethnicity, ability, class, and sexual orientation. We use our space to create an inclusive community that empowers student leaders to transform campus climate through education, advocacy, support and leadership development. We create programs and events to critically examine, disrupt,

and dismantle systems of oppression that create barriers to gender equity and social justice, including interpersonal violence. To this end, we educate and collaborate with all members of our NC State community, including faculty and staff, to take responsibility for transforming an environment that produces gender inequities, social injustice, and interpersonal violence.

Scenes from our annual summer work planning retreat this week. We spent time reflecting on the past year, planning for the coming year, gaining insight on assessment tools, learning about cross-generational workplaces, developing team values and agreements, and working together to solve clues and successfully escape from a shipping container with 7 minutes to spare! As we like to say, G-double O-D, J-O-B…GOOD JOB!!! We can’t wait to welcome students back in August with a robust offering of events and opportunities to expand their knowledge base, enhance their leadership skills, and explore opportunities for personal and professional growth and well-being. Go Pack!!! 🐺
