October is Family History Month. Did you know that OLLI at NC State has a Family History Special Interest Group?

Barbara McGeachy has been coordinator of the group for the last fourteen years, but the group was actually started earlier – in 2009. We appreciate her commitment, organization and passion for family history! Here's a recent picture of attendees at a September meeting.

Last week, OLLI members traveled to and learned about several birds of prey. Covering history from the Book of St. Albans to the Middle Eastern deserts, our guide took us on a delightful path leading to up-close experiences with a red-tail hawk, falcon and barn owl. What a gem located in Lillington, NC.
