Today, we bid farewell to someone who has been such an important part of the nutrition family for more than two decades. Since 2002, our Dietetic Internship Director, Cathie Ostrowski has dedicated her time, heart and expertise to helping students discover their place in the profession. Over the years, she has guided 560 students in becoming Registered Dietitian Nutritionists! The legacy Cathie leaves behind will live on in all the Meredith graduates who are now practicing dietitians, leaders, mentors and preceptors, many of whom continue to give back to Meredith by welcoming our students into their workplaces and helping prepare the next generation of RDNS.

You have left an incredible mark on this program, Cathie and while we are excited for you and this next chapter, we will dearly miss your presence, guidance and most of all you!

5. Why nutrition? During undergrad, I worked as a sports medicine aide for athletics while taking a Sports Nutrition course. Being able to learn about fueling performance while simultaneously seeing the impact of proper fueling firsthand was such a rewarding experience. That experience sparked my passion for nutrition and inspired me to pursue a career in nutrition.
