The NC State Fair is coming together! Don't forget to stop by the Bees And Honey Display in the Agri Supply Expo Building. The fair starts on the 15th and goes through the 25th. See you there!

Today was the annual swarm demonstration for the Bees and Beekeeping class. The queen is in a cage hanging on the pole. The students get an up close look at honey bee behavior during a swarm which is always the highlight of the semester.

This feral colony of honey bees is located next to a heavily traveled sidewalk and was becoming a concern. Instead, it has become a great opportunity to educate the general public! Thank you to all involved in helping to protect the honey bees.
