When God Calls, Answer
You don't have to be perfect, have all the answers, or know the entire journey. You simply have to be willing to follow.
Scripture:
“And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.”

Thought for the Day
God isn't looking for perfection; He's looking for a willing heart.
Reflection for the Day
Matthew was sitting at his tax collector's table when Jesus called him. He wasn't in a temple or preparing for ministry. He was simply going about his daily routine when an extraordinary opportunity changed the direction of his life. Jesus said, "Follow me," and Matthew answered the call.
Sometimes, we convince ourselves that we aren't ready for what God has placed before us. We question our abilities, focus on our shortcomings, or wait for the perfect moment to take the next step. But Matthew's story reminds us that God's calling doesn't always come when we expect it, and answering that call doesn't require having everything figured out.
Each of us has been given gifts, experiences, and opportunities that can make a difference in the lives of others. Whether you're leading a congregation, serving your community, educating others, or encouraging someone who needs hope, your willingness to serve matters. You may never know how far your obedience will reach.
As you close out this week, reflect on where God may be calling you to step forward. Don't let fear, uncertainty, or self-doubt keep you from fulfilling your purpose. Sometimes, the greatest act of faith is simply saying yes.

Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us to serve and for giving each of us a purpose. Help us recognize Your voice, trust Your direction, and find the courage to say yes, even when the path ahead is uncertain. Remove our doubts and remind us that You can use our gifts, experiences, and willingness to make a difference. As we enter a new week, help us walk boldly in our calling and serve others with humility and love. Amen.
