Check out this CNR feature on Thomas Reed, Class of 2019. Not only is Thomas actively contributing to local conservation efforts, but he's also engaging many FWCB students and recent grads as volunteers, interns, and technicians on his team. Keep up the good work, Thomas!

As manager of Wake County Open Space, Reed is at the forefront of efforts to safeguard the county's three nature preserves and nearly 10,000 acres of conservation land.

FWCB lost one of our own this week. Clay Allen (Class of 2018) passed away on Thursday August 21 after battling cancer for over a year. Clay had a big smile and an even bigger heart. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and his classmates loved being out there with him. After graduation, Clay worked for the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. We are keeping Clay's parents, wife, daughter, and extended family in our thoughts. We will miss you, Clay.
