From Nepal to NC State, Rojan Karki’s commitment to agricultural Extension, education and rural development continues to shape his academic journey.
Karki, a Ph.D. candidate in Agricultural and Human Sciences, is one of four CALS students selected for the 2026 Goodnight Doctoral Fellowship. His research focuses on agricultural Extension, adoption, career adaptability and the role of Extension in career pathways.
We recently spoke with Karki about his journey to NC State, his research and his hopes for using research, education and Extension to create meaningful change in communities in Nepal and beyond.
