Let's celebrate
🚀 🚀This week we’re excited to spotlight Technical Community College student, Michele Pham and celebrate their passion for technology and innovation. Let’s give them a big shout-out!
Michele has made a lasting impact both in and out of the classroom with her strong commitment to service and goal to explore a career in technology. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, she transitioned into civilian life in search of a college that offered both flexibility and support. She found that Wake Tech offered a welcoming environment, a top-tier Cybersecurity program, and a dedicated Military and Veterans Services team that helped her navigate her new path.
Recently, Michele has earned her Associate in Applied Science in Cybersecurity, gaining hands-on experience in digital forensics, ethical hacking, and network security. Her time at Wake Tech not only prepared her for a future in IT but also allowed her to continue serving others. While working in the Military and Veterans Services office, she supports fellow veterans and military-affiliated students by guiding them through VA education benefits, maintaining the Veteran Zone, and ensuring that they also feel seen, heard, and supported.
Reflecting on her journey, she credits the entire Wake Tech Military & Veteran Services team for their encouragement and guidance. “Their support, professionalism, and commitment to student success have made a lasting impact on my journey,” she says. Her advice to other students: “Progress doesn’t always look like a straight line, keep showing up, keep learning, and trust that your effort is leading somewhere meaningful.”
