PCOM Student Network Groups

PCOM Student Network Groups SNG exists to foster diversity in the professional environment. Please click "About" to see more of what our organization does.

Student Network Groups are an important part of each student’s first-year experience in the Poole College of Management. While enrolled in Management 100 – Diversity, Professionalism and Academic Success in Management, students have the opportunity to be a member of a Student Network Group. Students choose one or more Student Network Groups (SNGs) to participate in from a list provided during the

first class. Each group has at least one professional mentor, someone from the community who has an interest in working with the particular group and guiding them through their first semester and beyond. In addition, upper-class students serve as student mentors to the groups. During the semester, students attend cultural events and social networking opportunities with their group members, professional mentors, and student mentors. Each group mentor helps to find and/or plan events for the students, identify needs of the particular group and to keep students informed of related news in the local and national community.
