Our President Pearl Wright participated in “Pink & Pearl Legacy: A Fireside Conversation on the African American Cotillion Tradition.”

President Wright shared her experiences, insights, and commitment to preserving this important tradition. In partnership with the National Black Debutante (Dr. Nikita Y. Harris | Cotillion Historian ), President Wright helped present the first national public discussion dedicated to the history, culture, and legacy of African American cotillions. 💚💕✨

Thank you. 💕💚✨

Thank you for leading with grace, vision, and unwavering dedication throughout your tenure as our 2022–2026 Mid-Atlantic Regional Director. Your leadership has left an indelible mark on our region, and your commitment to serving Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® has inspired so many along the way.

As your home chapter, we had the unique privilege of witnessing not only your accomplishments, but also the countless sacrifices made behind the scenes. We saw the long hours, the tireless travel, the weight of responsibility, and the selfless commitment required to serve at such a high level. None of it went unnoticed.

Through it all, you never stopped showing love to Alpha Theta Omega. No matter where your responsibilities took you, you continued to pour into your home chapter with the same warmth, humility, and genuine sisterly spirit that has always defined you. That love has meant more than words can express.

Your legacy extends far beyond the title you held—it lives on in the lives you’ve touched, the leaders you’ve mentored, and the standard of excellence you’ve set for all who follow.

In case you needed a reminder….. We. Help. Each. Other! 💖💚

While on the ground at the 72nd Boule in Las Vegas, our sisters are truly taking in what it means to be sisterly and strengthening our sisterhood.

To avoid a long walk, our Vice President Laquinta Perry-James was offered an uber ride by Sister Deyna Hardison of AKA | Chi Rho Omega Chapter .

Additionally, Our President Pearl Wright and her very own Kappa Kappa Chapter, AKA line sister Angela C. Hall decided to room together during the trip - saving each other from additional expenses (and better yet, more money to spend at the vendors! 🤭🛍️)

Alpha Theta Omega Chapter is Boule bound in Las Vegas! 🎰💕💚 We’re both fulfilling the work of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and enjoying the love and warmth of fellow sisters worldwide.

Just within the first few days, Alpha Theta Omega Chapter was recognized by the African American Cotillions in partnership of the Clark County Museum for having the EARLIEST documented debutante ball in the history of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Our first debutante ball was was December 31, 1937. We’re so grateful to have our debutante program booklet from 1972 (slide 3) featured on display! ✨
