The Peace Office of Advancement and the Peace Alumni Board hosted the Alumni Ice Cream Social on 8/21/26.

Peace alumni handed out ice cream 🍨from Two Roosters Ice Cream to students and other members of the Peace community.

The event was part of Pacer Welcome Week, a series of events to welcome students back to campus.

On Move-In Day, we welcomed the Class of 2030.
Over 100 alumni, faculty, staff, and student volunteers showed up to help our first-year students settle in.
It was incredible to see our alumni community come together across the decades, with volunteers ranging from the Class of 1964 all the way to 2026.

Hey Peace Alumni! Move-in Day was a lot of fun last year, and we are looking forward to this year’s. We need your help welcoming our new Pacers on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The Details
• Date: Thursday, August 13, 2026
• Time: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Location: Residence halls
What we're doing:
We'll be at the residence halls, greeting arriving students, unloading cars, and helping them carry their things to their rooms.
Quick things to know:
• Food is on us: Join us for a mandatory volunteer breakfast at Belk Dining at 8:15 a.m. (doors open at 8:00 a.m.). We'll also have lunch ready for you afterward!
• Free T-Shirt: Make sure to register by this Friday's deadline to get your official Pacer Move-In Crew t-shirt.
• Guidelines: Only registered volunteers in their official shirts can help out with move-in.
• Heavy lifting: Expect to lift some heavy boxes! Just let your volunteer leader know if you need to stick to lighter items.
