Hoyas Women's Volleyball is in Winston-Salem this weekend! 🏐

Georgetown volleyball is in Winston-Salem for a three-match road swing at the Wake Forest Invitational, running Sept. 4-6 at Varsity Arena:

Friday - 3:30 pm vs Central Florida
Saturday - 3:00 pm vs Davidson
Sunday - 2:00 pm vs Wake Forest

The Club of Research Triangle commemorated Juneteenth with UCAN Agrinomics at the Farm at Catawba Trail, a community form on the site of a former slave plantation in northern Durham that is now run by 2 sister, Delphine Sellars and Lucille Patterson.

The purpose of the event was to honor, acknowledge and honor the slaves who worked and died on the Farm and were buried there with no markers or recognition. Those sites have been identified. All of the slaves and their children names’ were read out loud to the beat of African drums in a traditional honorary ceremony.

We honored the present and future by singing a traditional African harvest song at the new field and planted wild flowers to signify new life that is grown on the sacrifices of others. A solemn but joyous event. Support the Farm with sweat, donations or attendance.
