Saint Augustineโ€™s University, established in 1867, is a private, liberal arts college in Raleigh, N.C. With an average annual enrollment of approximately 1,500, the University offers 30 undergraduate degree programs in five academic divisions. Saint Augustineโ€™s University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Saint Augustineโ€™s College will change its name and status to Saint Augustineโ€™s University effective August 1, 2012.

The SAU family is saddened to announce the passing of alumnus Rev. Dr. S Isaiah Harvin, Class of 1994 (April 24, 1972 - March 17, 2026). Rev. Harvin served as the Pastor of Brookins Faith "Temple" AME Church and was an Adjunct Professor at Howard University. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to his family as they mourn his loss.

The SAU family is saddened to announce the passing of alumnus Rev. Hilton O. Smith, Class of 1968 (April 21, 1946 - March 5, 2026). Rev. Smith also served as Chairman of the SAU Board of Trustees from 2017 to 2019. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to his family as they mourn his loss.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Rev. Hilton O. Smith will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at The Word Church, 18909 S Miles Road, Cleveland, OH 44128. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Calhoun Funeral Home, 23000 Rockside Road, Bedford Heights, OH 44146.
