Honoring a trailblazer. The Witherspoon Student Center is named after Dr. Augustus M. Witherspoon: NC State’s first African American professor, its second African American PhD graduate, and a legendary mentor, researcher, and leader.
Today, the center operates with that exact same dedication to the Pack. It is a 100% student-centered space, run by students, to serve students.
