Teacher Education at Rockland Community College

Teacher Education at Rockland Community College Teacher Ed. prepares students for careers in teaching by providing rigorous theory to practice applications in every course through fieldwork experiences.

Teacher Education currently offers three degrees to prepare students for careers teaching: in Early Childhood (Birth – Grade 2), Childhood (Grades 1-6), or Adolescence Education (Grades 7-12). Students will begin their general education and concentration track requirements in one of the following areas: Art, Biology, Chemistry, English, History, or Math, preparing them to transfer to a four year school where they will complete their teacher certification requirements.
