After learning about an education benefit offered through his employer, Ted decided it was time to go back to school. With a full-time job, he needed a program that could fit into his already busy life, so he chose to take his classes online, one course at a time.

Hear why Ted decided to continue his education, how he's making it work on his own timeline and the advice he has for anyone considering taking that next step.

We're proud of our Vermont State Castleton Mens Hockey student-athletes for stepping up again to serve the community and help preserve local history last week. Alongside community volunteers, the team helped restore and preserve more than 50 historic monuments at Hillside Cemetery, including a Civil War-era monument that had been down for many years.

Thank you to everyone who made this meaningful project possible!

Check this out! Seven Days Deputy Publisher Cathy Resmer reflects on helping her children, Graham and Ivy, begin their journeys at two separate Vermont State University campuses, as the fall semester gets underway.

We're delighted to welcome Graham and Ivy, and all of our newest students, to the Vermont State family.

Deputy publisher Cathy Resmer and her wife dropped off their kids for their first year at Vermont State University and lived to tell the tale.
