Enhance your ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and provide more culturally responsive care.

Spanish for Healthcare Workers (SPAN 5018) is an entry-level, fully online course designed for busy healthcare professionals. Whether you work days, nights, evenings, or rotating shifts, you'll enjoy the flexibility of learning on your own schedule while participating in a weekly live Zoom session with an experienced instructor.

In this course, you'll learn to:
✅ Communicate with Spanish-speaking patients in healthcare settings
✅ Conduct basic patient interviews in Spanish
✅ Use essential medical Spanish vocabulary
✅ Write simple clinical notes and patient instructions
✅ Better understand Hispanic and Latino cultural perspectives on healthcare

📅 Course Dates: September 8 – October 27, 2026
💻 Format: Remote with weekly live Zoom sessions (Tuesdays, 6:00–7:00 p.m.)

📣Meet 3D with SolidWorks Instructor, Jason Sanders! Jason received his BS degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University and MBA from the University of Urbana-Champaign. He brings over 15 years of industry experience in product development, manufacturing/process engineering, and design engineering management from various companies in the Philadelphia/Reading area. Jason is currently the Executive Director of the West Philly Tool Library, a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Philadelphia, PA that helps provide homeowners and DIYer's with the tools and skills they need.

Our Industrial Electricity Certificate courses are in-person at Penn State Berks from 6 - 9 PM on Wednesdays!

✅Foundations of Industrial Electricity – starts this fall 2026
This course will cover safety, electrical print reading, overcurrent protection, and basic electrical theory.
Dates: Wednesdays, September 9 - October 21, 6-9 PM

✅Application of Industrial Electricity –
This course will cover transformers, motor controls and starters, power quality, and generators and emergency power.
Dates: Wednesdays, October 28 - December 16, 6-9 PM (no class 11/25)

Knowing how to brew high quality beer from start to finish is only one part of the equation. If your goal is to go beyond the brewhouse and start your own brewery, this module will dive into some of the key aspects and goals to get your brewery off the ground and in front of thirsty customers looking for the ‘next big thing’.

🔵⚪The Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) certificate program is offered at the Penn State Berks Campus in an evening study program. Classes are hands on and provide students with the skills needed to become experts in automation design. Our first cohort filled up immediately, so a second new cohort for PLC Basics is now being offered! Hurry registration fills up fast!
