On this day, we remember the near 3000 lives lost during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. We honor the many victims from the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Flight 93.

We also recognize the first responders (fire fighters, police officers, and other emergency personnel) who bravery risked everything to save others.

March is a month where we honor the achievements and history of women and their contributions to our lives. Unlike the internationally recognized International Women's Day, the United States devotes an entire month to recognize the leadership, courage, and strength of women of the past, present, and future of America. It was signed into law in 1987 where March was designated Women's History Month.
