The tears, the cheers, the families celebrating in the crowd. 🎓 This is what it’s all been for.

Cañada graduates carry stories that don’t fit in a program booklet. The ones who worked full time, raised kids, started over, and showed up anyway. Some are heading to four-year universities, others are stepping into new careers and chapters. This place was built for every journey, every goal, every stage of life. Crossing that stage isn’t just an ending. It’s proof.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. We saw you. Every single one of you. 💛

Thank you for her inspiring words to our grads!

The Digital Art & Animation Department celebrated the launch of Intro to Digital Photography: A Visual Language 📖✨

This Zero Textbook Cost photography book was created by Associate Professor Emanuela Qu***ia in collaboration with Menlo Studio student assistants and photography students. Designed entirely in Adobe InDesign, it showcases real student work and reflects the creative growth of everyone involved. 🎨📷

This project is the result of a meaningful partnership between the DA&A Department, the ZTC program, Menlo Studio and the Cañada College Library. A living example of our commitment to accessible education and the transformative power of the digital arts. 💙

🚨 Your community, your safety, and your voice matters! Disasters don't wait, but we can plan ahead!

SMCCCD is working hard alongside regional partners to update the 2026 San Mateo County Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP), but a plan is only as strong as the community behind it.

Whether you are a student, faculty member, staff, or a community member, your feedback helps us better prepare for hazards like severe weather, wildfires, and power outages.

💡 3 Quick Things to Know:

- You can view exactly what risks face our District and what steps are being taken to mitigate them.

- An approved plan ensures we remain eligible for federal mitigation and disaster recovery grants.

- The feedback form is available in English, Spanish, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, and Tagalog.

The deadline to submit your comments is June 15, 2026. 📅

Don’t let this opportunity pass to help protect our campuses and neighbors.
