Love this circle for Javier and Sarah!

From student to future teacher, Javier Espinal-Perez’s journey is what is all about. As an MPUSD-Alder Teacher Resident, Javier is now preparing to lead his own classroom, and his story comes right back to where it started.

He was once a kindergartener in Director of Teacher Development Sarah Hudson’s kindergarten class at former Highland Elementary, and years later, she served as his assistant principal at Los Arboles Middle School. Now, in an incredible full-circle moment, she’ll be leading him once again, this time as part of his journey to becoming an educator.

Through our partnership with the Alder Graduate School of Education, we’re not just preparing teachers, we’re growing our own.

Welcome back, Javier. The future is bright.
