The University of Nevada, Reno along with the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering is excited to kick off our first annual Nevada is Awe-STEM Workshop Series in partnership with the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada, Nevada Mining Association, Nevada Gold Mines and NevadaTeach.

During the two-day workshop series taking place June 22 and 24, Cadettes will have the opportunity to work towards their Space Science Researcher badge and the Mining in Today’s World patch. Visit the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada website to learn more!

Thank you Nevada Gold Mines for funding this wonderful scholarship!

It's scholarship season! It's also the first day of Women's History Month. So, we thought we'd share a scholarship to help our female students make history in the earth sciences! The Nevada Gold Mines Scholarship for Women in Earth Sciences is meant to support women interested in studying mining, metallurgy, economic geology, hydrogeology, or geological engineering.
