By developing and delivering exceptional nontraditional education through the outreach of University colleges and departments in the areas of public administration and management, public policy, economic development and planning for elected and appointed officials, government executives, and the general public in the State of Nevada and to do so collaboratively with willing public sector and private sector partners.

The University Center for Economic Development and the Nevada Leadership Program, part of The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno, is proud to announce that, in partnership with the University of Nevada, Reno's Office of Indigenous Relations and the First Nations Development Institute, will host its second annual Nevada Native Student Learn, Empower, Achieve, and Dream (LEAD) program July 7, 2024 through July 13, 2024.

The Nevada Native Student LEAD program is a one week immersive experience where Native high school students across the state have the opportunity to live in University dorms and explore campus and college life. This experience includes learning about how to prepare for college and navigate the academic, social, financial and cultural aspects and opportunities of being a student at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The Nevada Leadership Program, part of The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno, is proud to co-host the 2023 Annual Conference on Ending Homelessness, scheduled for August 15, 2023 and August 16, 2023 on the main campus of the University of Nevada, Reno, in partnership with the Nevada Homeless Alliance.

Homeless service organizations, elected leaders, funders, and other key stakeholders together from across the State of Nevada will come together to learn about best practices in programs and policy. Whether you are a homeless service direct service provider or leader, social worker, counselor, local or state employee or board member, landlord, corporation, person with lived experience of homelessness… this conference is for you! During this event, guests will hear from regional, state and local leaders about planning activities that have taken place to end and address homelessness.

The University Center for Economic Development - The College of Business at UNR and the The Nevada Leadership Program, both part of The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno, is proud to be a part of the Nevada Native LEAD (Learn, Empower, Achieve, and Dream) program where, in partnership with the University of Nevada, Reno's Office of Indigenous Relations, up to 25 Nevada Native American youth will be hosted on campus between August 7, 2023 and August 11, 2023. Indigenous high school students from across Nevada will have the opportunity to participate in this immersive one-week program designed to orient high school students for college life and coursework and to connect with culture and cultural support systems across the University.
