Once you have chosen a degree program and you have been advised by a counselor for your first semester, you can begin seeing an Academic Advisor. Your advisor will be a faculty member in your chosen program of study.
Before classes begin on August 24th, take a moment to review the course notes on your class schedule and carefully read details of how, when, and where (if applicable) the course will be taught.
You can use the drop/add/swap tool in MyNOVA to make schedule adjustments based on your preferences.

Our Fall schedule is now updated to reflect six different learning options. Choose to learn from home, learn on campus (limited offerings), or a combo of both. Review your schedule in SIS for updates, and be sure to carefully read the course notes for details on how, when, and where the class will be delivered.
We're VERY excited about launching our new summer JumpStart schedule of tuition-free online classes for approximately 70,000 qualified Northern Virginia high school students.
This is an opportunity for rising seniors and graduating seniors to JumpStart their summers and earn college credit by attending up to two online courses that will run from June 1 to July 15.
