📰 Twenty-Four Graduate Students Complete EPPS Math and Coding Camp at UT Dallas

Twenty-four incoming graduate students completed the 2026 Math and Coding Camp hosted by the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS) at The University of Texas at Dallas, a five-day camp that concluded last week. All 24 participants finished the full program, worked in teams on applied projects that they presented to their peers and instructors, and received certificates of completion.

📰 Remembering Dr. Richard K. Scotch

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Richard K. Scotch, who died on June 2, 2026, following more than four decades of service as a professor, mentor, and nationally recognized expert in public health and disability policy. Throughout his career, Dr. Scotch shaped the lives of countless students, advanced disability rights scholarship, and helped build UT Dallas’ public health program into what it is today.

📰 Taiwan Research Academy 2026 Concludes with Record Participation, Global Dialogue, and Student-Led Scholarship

The Taiwan Research Academy (TRA) 2026 successfully concluded its third annual program at The University of Texas at Dallas, marking another year of growth for one of the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences’ signature initiatives in Taiwan studies. Held as part of the Taiwan Studies Initiative, the Academy brought together a record-high admitted cohort of 15 TRA scholars, four interns from National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, distinguished faculty, policy experts, and community leaders for an intensive week of lectures, workshops, research presentations, and cross-cultural exchange.
