Join the UT Dallas Office of Student Volunteerism for F.E.S.T. (Freshmen Engaged in Service Together): Bye Bye Bag Making, happening as part of Weeks of Welcome! We will be assembling care packages to support our community partner Vogel Alcove, and it's a great way to jumpstart your service journey at UTD.

Welcome Back, Comets! ☄️🧡

Ready to kick off the Fall semester by giving back? Join the Office of Student Volunteerism (OSV) for our signature Weeks of Welcome service project: Bye-Bye Bag Making!

We are coming together to create Bye-Bye Bags for our incredible community partner, Vogel. Since 1987, Vogel has supported more than 17,000 children across our community. What started with just 15 kids in a small alcove has grown into a comprehensive, life-changing program—and we can’t wait to support their ongoing mission together!

This is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow Comets, learn about local service opportunities, and make an immediate impact.

Small Crew. Massive Impact. 🎒💥

We want to send a huge thank you to the amazing student volunteers who joined us for our Bye Bye Bag event on Thursday, July 23!

Working together, this dedicated group packed an astounding 176 bags that we will deliver to our community partner Vogel Alcove! They are truly DINO-MITE, and their efforts will directly impact so many in our community.

We are so grateful for our student volunteers—they show up, work hard, and make the difference every single time. We couldn't do it without you! 🦖🌟

Got plans for lunch? Join the Office of Student Volunteerism in the SSA Atrium in about 90 minutes for our Summer Series: Bye Bye Bags event!

We’re partnering with Vogel to assemble care bags for local children and families. It’s a quick, easy, and meaningful way to make a real difference on campus today.

✨ Bonus: We will have free pizza for volunteers starting at 11:00 AM (available while supplies last)!

Honoring Juneteenth through service and community action! 🧡🌾

Last Thursday, June 18, our incredible volunteers spent their afternoon showing up for others at Feed My Starving Children. Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, and the strength of community—and what better way to celebrate that spirit than by working together to tackle global hunger?

In just 1.75 hours, the energy in the room was unmatched! Take a look at the incredible final impact numbers from our session:

📦 143 Boxes packed
🍽️ 30,888 Meals prepared
🧒 84 Kids fed a daily meal for an entire year!

A massive thank you to every single volunteer who brought their energy, passion, and hard work to the packing lines. You are the heartbeat of our community! 🤝✨

Kick off your summer with a sustainability project that directly gives back to our campus! 🌿👕

The Office of Student Volunteerism invites you to our upcoming OSV Summer Series: Upcycling T-Shirts workshop on Tuesday, June 9, 2026!

Come hang out with us in SSA 14.510 anytime between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. All materials and t-shirts will be provided on-site!

We are crafting with a clear mission: every finished, reusable tote bag will be donated directly to the Comet Cupboard to assist students. To make it a truly eco-friendly project, any remaining fabric scraps from the cutting process will be collected and donated to the Basic Needs Resource Center. ✂️✨

It’s a fun, meaningful way to learn a new skill, hang out with fellow Comets, and keep materials out of landfills.
