We're Hallyu Wave UTD, a club that focuses on Korean culture and entertainment! We began in the Spring 2014 semester, and hope to continue to grow as a organization! Activities include discussions, K-pop dance classes, K-drama showings, and learning the Korean language. We also participate in special events, and plan fun socials for our members. If any of these things appeal to you, then this is the club for YOU. ^^

We’re looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to fill two of our officer positions starting from spring '25!!

Positions opening - Secretary and Treasurer 📒✨

responsibilities:

📌 secretary - help maintain important files, records etc, record attendance for meetings and promote the org

📌 treasurer - plan the budget for the semester, keep track of dues and manage our bank acc

deadline - November 27th at 11:59pm

this week we will be having our first ever kdrama inspired improv night!!! come join us thursday evening to make up and act out silly crazy madlibs-style scenarios with all of your hallyu friends 💃🕺

no matter if you are a k-drama fanatic or have yet to watch your first one, this will be a fun and exciting meeting for everyone!! 💗

our meeting will be this thursday, november 7th, from 7:00-9:00PM in room SSA 14.244!! we can’t wait to see you all there ☺️🎭🎬

Bring your photocards and get creative with some pretty stickers 💖 Wanna show off ur entire photocard collection and trade?? this is the best time!! 🤩✨ Its time to get creative and have fun!!

Not a deco person?? No worries!! We'll have beads available for bracelet and keychain making 💎

We’ll have toploaders, sleeves, stickers and beads available to everyone!! However, if you’re a paid member you’ll get access to our exclusive stickers 😉

Our 4th general meeting is Thursday, October 10th from 7 to 9pm in SSA 14.224 (same room as our previous meeting 💞✨)

in addition to our usual pop-culture indulgence, some of our activities will have a more traditional flair 🙇🏻‍♀️ we will also have snacks for our members to enjoy!! 🍵🍪💗

we will be having a social this sunday, september 22nd at .store, joining them for their photocard trade and deco day!!! they have an impressive stock of super cool and unique stickers from indie and local artists that we are so excited to explore… we hope you will join us in decorating the coolest toploaders ever 🙇🏻‍♀️

YOU’RE INVITED!!! to hallyu wave’s very first general meeting of the semester 🥳

please come join us for fun and games as we get to know each other and introduce what our club is all about!! it will be a great opportunity to make new friends (or bond with old ones!) and chat about k-pop, k-drama, webtoons, and any other hallyu-related interests 💗

our first meeting will be THIS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH in room SSA 14.245 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM 🎉

whether you’re new to the club or a hallyu-veteran, we hope to see you there!! anybody and everybody is welcome as always ⭐️

🕺🕺🕺 its variety night! 😎🎤

it’s one of our hallyu signature meetings, where we pay homage to all our favorite k-variety shows like running man, infinite challenge, and game caterers! 🤸‍♂️

this semester’s edition featured the classic “shouting in silence” game, where you struggle to hear your partner’s question and answer it right (as seen on NANA TOUR, among many other shows), and the silly cone hat musical chairs game. what’s your favorite variety show? let us know in the comments and we’ll make sure to adapt it for next time 🫡

spring festival!! 🌸🥳✨

our final meeting of the semester feels like it was just yesterday, doesn’t it? we played the craziest kpop bingo, and gave out some prizes for the winners (seen on the right hand side strip)! did you get a 5-in-a-row by the end? 2 bingos?? a full house??!!

we also had our first ever thrift sale! if you want us to host one again, let us know in the comments (plus your feedback from last time 🫶)
