Enjoyed an excellent CPE Postsecondary Education Trusteeship Conference this week in Owensboro. I appreciate our Board members and staff for attending and representing EKU so well. I also had the privilege of moderating a panel with my fellow university presidents about the good work we are collectively doing across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Eastern Kentucky University is transforming communities across our region—and that impact begins right here in Richmond.

I was proud to join our community’s business leaders and local lawmakers to deliver this year’s State of the University Address to the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. From the classroom to the workforce, our students are every day and demonstrating why is Kentucky’s Workforce University.

I was also pleased to recognize alums State Representative Deanna Frazier Gordon and Sen. Jared Carpenter as “EKU MVP’s” for their continued support, leadership and advocacy for our university. There’s incredible momentum at EKU, and our best days are still ahead.
