The Department of Religious Studies is delighted to share that Libby McKinney was awarded the Lynn C. Dickerson Award for 2026!

When reflecting on her time spent with the department, Libby shared:

"I am incredibly grateful to the Religious Studies department for this honor, and for the 4 years of mentorship it has provided me during my time at Richmond. I would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Stephanie Cobb, Dr. Douglas Winiarski, and Dr. Rhiannon Graybill for the guidance and knowledge they have shared with me. Not only has this department pushed me to think more critically about power and ethics, but it has also continually encouraged me to dive into unique topics that have expanded my worldview. These perspectives have not only allowed me to grow as a student but also as a person, and I know that the skills I have gained will follow me throughout life's journeys. My heart is filled with gratitude as I reflect on my last 4 years, and I am optimistic for the future of this department."

Congratulations, Libby!
