It’s always bittersweet when one of VCU Libraries’ longtime employees takes flight. But, there’s pride and joy as well when one of our own progresses professionally. Such is the case today with the formal announcement that Dr. Laura Westmoreland Gariepy will be leaving VCU Libraries–after a stellar 17-year stint–to become Dean of Libraries at William & Mary. Kudos and congratulations to hr!

Laura Gariepy, a longtime library leader dedicated to supporting student and faculty success, has been selected as the next dean of university libraries at William & Mary.
