Congratulations to the one and only Dr. E. Gaynell Sherrod on her well-deserved retirement! 🌻

We are so appreciative of everything she has brought to this department over the past 12 years - her artistry, mentorship, and presence have challenged and inspired students and colleagues alike.

From championing student success through the Friends of Dance initiative, to securing scholarship support for summer intensives, to developing courses that launched careers in arts administration, Dr. G invested in her students throughout her timer here. The work she's done here will continue to ripple through every dancer she's mentored.

We are so proud to have had her as part of the VCUarts Dance family, and we cannot wait to see what this exciting new chapter holds for her. Thank you for everything, Dr. G! 💛🖤
