Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc - Beta Gamma Lambda Chapter Beta Gamma Lambda grew out of Gamma Chapter Virginia Union University.

Beta Gamma Lambda (ΒΓΛ) was chartered May 4, 1935 in Richmond, Virginia with approximately thirty-two Charter Brothers that include 6 officers and 26 in that beginning year.

Beta Gamma Lambda Represented in the Nation’s Capital 🖤💛

Today, Brother Boadu traveled to Washington, D.C. to proudly represent the Beta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. during the Slavery Remembrance Day observance hosted by U.S. Congressman and Brother Al Green.

Held under the powerful theme, “Harder Yet May Be the Fight,” the occasion provided an opportunity to reflect upon the history, sacrifice, perseverance, and enduring legacy of our ancestors while recognizing the responsibility we carry forward today.

Beta Gamma Lambda is proud to have Brother Boadu representing our chapter in our nation’s capital and continuing Alpha’s longstanding commitment to advocacy, civic engagement, scholarship, and service to our communities.

From Richmond to Washington, D.C., Beta Gamma Lambda continues to be seated at the table and present where meaningful conversations are taking place.

Fathers, this one is for you. 👨🏾‍👧🏾

Braids & Bordeaux is more than learning how to braid hair. It’s about fatherhood, confidence, connection, and showing up for our daughters in the everyday moments that matter.

This experience is designed especially for Black fathers and father figures, as well as fathers raising Black and multicultural daughters, who want to build confidence in caring for and styling their daughters’ hair.

Join us for an evening featuring:
• Hands-on instruction in hair care and styling
• Conversations about fatherhood with a licensed professional
• Wine tasting and fellowship
• A mannequin head for every participant to learn and practice on

Presented by the Beta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in partnership with ParentingCulture.

This event is open to ALL men, including non-Alphas. No children are permitted, so dads can focus on learning, connecting, and enjoying the experience.
