VCU Urology Dorothy A. Pauley Department of Urology We take great pride in our long tradition of clinical excellence and cutting-edge research.

Here, members of our faculty have made substantial contributions to the field of urology and have helped patients all over the world. Our faculty provide subspecialty expertise in areas of urologic cancer, incontinence and voiding dysfunction, minimally invasive urology, robotic surgery, urinary stone disease, erectile dysfunction, urologic trauma and pediatric urology. The Division provides care

for the VCU Medical Center and the McGuire Veterans Affairs Hospital. We enjoy full access to all resources uniquely available at our University Medical Center including state-of-the art radiology services, medical oncology, and fully staffed 24-hour emergency room and critical care facilities. We are committed to our patients and to our tradition of excellence in clinical urology and urologic research.

Please join us in congratulating Adam P. Klausner, M.D., on his appointment as Chair of the Dorothy A. Pauley Department of Urology at VCU School of Medicine.

Dr. Klausner joined VCU Health in 2004 and has served as interim chair since the department was established in 2025. Dr. Klausner has demonstrated exceptional leadership in clinical care, research, medical education, and service. As residency program director, he strengthened resident education, wellness initiatives, surgical feedback systems, and recruitment efforts.

We look forward to the continued growth and success of the department under his leadership.
