Huge congratulations to EC Alumnus Ryan Stewart ‘11 on receiving “The Blue Heron Educator Award”, a nationwide celebration across all Outward Bound schools honoring bold, compassionate educators who bring the Outward Bound spirit into their classrooms, communities, and beyond!

“The award recognizes educators who lead with courage, creativity, and dedication to their students and communities and honors individuals who embody Outward Bound’s core values, integrity, compassion, courage, inclusion, and service, and who inspire students to grow, connect, and thrive.

More than recognition, this celebration honors the educators shaping the future of learning, while strengthening partnerships between schools and Outward Bound communities across the country.” https://www.outwardbound.org/vobs/connect/spark-stories-voyaguer-voices-2026-blue-heron-award/
