Real-life experience in real-time. Mary Holle, the new director of the Farm and Industry Short Course, is leading a reimagined agricultural education program. As a dairy farmer herself, she believes serving FISC is a way to give back to an industry that has been her own lifeblood.

“My ability to integrate my own farm experience into the program is one of the greatest strengths I bring to FISC,” Holle said. “Being actively involved in a working dairy operation allows me to connect classroom instruction to real-time decision making."

The future of agriculture is being built right now and UWRF students are at the helm!

At UWRF’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, Falcons are gaining hands-on experience in dairy innovation, food safety, environmental sustainability and agribusiness leadership.

They’re not just learning. They’re solving real-world challenges.

During Giving Days, you can support the experiences that make this possible.

🌱 Be part of what’s growing.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Research Seminar with Dr. Kevyn Juneau!

We appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the global decline in insect biodiversity and explore practical ways we can all make a difference. Events like this highlight the importance of connecting research with real-world impact.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and hope to see you at future seminars!

The 50th Anniversary Colts In Training Sale is fast approaching. We are planning 2 Alumni Events - one the evening of Friday, May 1st (evening prior to the sale) and one during the sale-day events on Saturday, May 2nd. See the flyer below for additional details.

Ten years ago when we celebrated the 40th Anniversary, we welcomed more than 500 attendees on sale day. The Alumni Event was especially well-attended, and we appreciated all the Animal Science faculty and staff who made time to stop out at the farm to visit with all our former (and current students). Everyone is welcome for either of these events on May 1st/2nd - we hope to see many of you there.
