Fossils, Food, and Fun is back!

Today! Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 1-2 p.m. in 416 Ag Science. Sort through sediments to find evidence of ancient life and socialize with others around some coffee/tea and afternoon snacks. You can sign up for multiple slots or even just stop by to satisfy your curiosity!

URSCA Fall Gala 2022 Tuesday!

The URSCA Fall Gala is an annual fall showcase to celebrate undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activity at UWRF. All disciplines present their work through research posters, oral presentations, artwork, short films and interactive research displays. The gala is on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 4-6:30 p.m. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

URSCA is an annual fall showcase event to celebrate undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activity at UWRF. Check out the EEB Scholars Program offered by Princeton University!

The EEB Scholars program aims to give talented students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in STEM the tools to apply to graduate programs in ecology and evolutionary biology. Successful applicants will be invited to Princeton's campus to attend workshops on the graduate school application and interview process, meet with faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers, gain practical experience by participating in mock interviews, and present a poster on their prior and ongoing research.

Applications for EEB Scholars 2022 are now open until June 15th! The program is open to all prospective graduate students, including rising juniors and seniors, as well as international applicants. All travel and lodging costs will be covered.

Apprenticeship Opportunity!

Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is seeking post-secondary students to join their team as Zookeeper Apprentices in their Pathways to Employment program.

Through this program, Apprentices will gain necessary experience to obtain a job as a zookeeper in any accredited institution. There is a one-year commitment required, with the option to continue for a second year.

This is a paid opportunity through the City of Saint Paul’s Right Track program.

Applications are open until position filled, with priority to applicants submitted on or before May 1st, 2022.
