AI is becoming part of everyday life — from our phones to our cars. But keeping it safe and responsible is just as important as making it smart. 💡

A team of BCOE researchers have found a way to make sure AI stays on its best behavior, even when it’s scaled down to run on smaller devices.

Their breakthrough helps protect against harmful or dangerous outputs, paving the way for a future where technology remains both innovative and trustworthy. 💙💛

What if AI models could erase sensitive or copyrighted data, even when the original training set is gone? 🔐 That’s exactly what BCOE computer scientists have achieved.

Their “source-free certified unlearning” technique compels AI models to “forget” specific information while preserving performance, offering a solution to global concerns over data privacy, copyright, and compliance with new regulations.
