Meet our next Jabs Student Spotlight: Luke Ferko, a first-year student majoring in Finance, Corporate Accounting.
Luke was drawn to the Jabs School of Business because of his interest in the analytical and risk-focused nature of finance, along with its real-world applications across industries. Even before becoming a full-time student, he experienced the encouragement and support of Jabs faculty which is something that continues to shape his academic journey today.
Luke is highly involved on campus, serving as President of the CBU Investment Club, Chief Investment Officer of the CBU Investment Group, and a Jabs School of Business High School Outreach/Recruiting Representative. Through these roles, he has developed both his leadership skills and technical knowledge in finance.
One of the most impactful aspects of his experience has been the opportunity to work with a student managed investment portfolio. Additionally, his involvement in the Investment Club has given him the chance to grow as both a learner and a leader.
Luke encourages current and future Jabs students to get involved and take full advantage of the opportunities around them: “Learn from upperclassmen, network with peers, and use the amazing resources we have within the school and from the support of the faculty.”
We’re proud of Luke’s accomplishments and look forward to seeing his continued growth and impact at Jabs!
