It's time to nominate your colleagues and peers for the Get Recognized Awards! 🏆

The Staff Assembly Recognition Committee will review submissions and select up to two winners each month. Nominations for this month are due on October 31. Each month's winners will receive a gift, be featured on the Staff Assembly website, and receive campus recognition during a special session.

We are excited to share that Black Convocation is taking place at UC Riverside on October 22, 2026! Black Convocation is a fall gathering and community-building event to celebrate Black scholarship and community at UCR. This event hopes to connect new students with current students, helpful administrators, and other relevant resources on our UCR campus and within the larger community.

The UCR Black Thriving Initiative (BTI) has been planning the event in partnership with African Student Programs (ASP), the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFASA), and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The entire UCR community – including all students, faculty, staff, and affiliate community groups – is invited to join us.

By gathering each Fall to celebrate Black scholarship and community, we strive to contribute to the belonging, connectedness, and success of our students, faculty, staff, and community members.

During the meeting, Staff Assembly will present Service Awards to honor and celebrate our dedicated staff members marking 5, 10, 15, or more years of service to the University of California.
