Hello, Supporters of Geek On! We have some very important and unfortunate news regarding this year's Geek On!.

Geek On! 2020 will, unfortunately, be canceled this year due to circumstances out of our control.

For more information, please see the attached letter.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION!

If it's your first time at Geek On!, have no fear! We have some handy-dandy maps for you to get around UCR easier! The designated Geek On! parking lot is **LOT 1**.

See the images below for detailed instructions on how to get to Lot 1 in the UCR campus. Get a FREE parking permit from the kiosk and park anywhere in Lot 1.

If you are coming off the 215/60E
If you are coming off the 91E and taking off University Ave.
If you are coming off the 215/60W
If you are coming off the 91E and coming on Martin Luther King Blvd.

Are you interested in a career in comics, but don't know where to start? UCR Professor John Jennings and co. are here to share their stories in a panel on how they broke into the industry and paved the way for other diverse creatives in comics!

John Jennings is a Professor of Media and Cultural Studies at the University of California at Riverside. Jennings is co-editor of the Eisner Award-winning collection The Blacker the Ink: Constructions of Black Identity in Comics and Sequential Art. Jennings is also a 2016 Nasir Jones Hip Hop Studies Fellow with the Hutchins Center at Harvard University. Jennings’ current projects include the horror anthology Box of Bones, the coffee table book Black Comix Returns (with Damian Duffy), and the Eisner-winning, Bram Stoker Award-winning, New York Times best-selling graphic novel adaptation of Octavia Butler’s classic dark fantasy novel Kindred. Jennings is also founder and curator of the ABRAMS Megascope line of graphic novels.
