Founded in 1950 and located in Riverside, CA, CBU offers more than 80 undergraduate majors as well as 31 graduate majors and three doctoral programs. More than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students learn from expert Christian instructors in a wide range of disciplines including accounting, business, engineering, graphic design, marketing, music, nursing and theology. ogram is one of the most decorated in the region fielding regional and national championship teams in baseball, softball, swimming, volleyball and wrestling competing in the NCAA D-1 WAC conference. Each year, CBU International Service Project program sends hundreds of students, alumni, faculty and staff around the world to serve the material, physical and spiritual needs of the communities into which they are sent. CBU is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges as well as numerous accrediting bodies including the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the California Commission on Teacher Credentials and the National Association of Schools of Music among others. On August 13, California Baptist University unveiled the newly renamed Center for Career and Professional Development, formerly known as the Career Center.

The Center will continue helping students develop the skills, experiences and professional connections needed to transition from college to career. Its new name more broadly reflects its commitment to supporting students throughout their professional development journey.
Along with its new name, the Center welcomed a new sponsor, Modern Woodmen of America Fraternal Financial, whose support will enhance career services and programming for CBU students.

Last night, CBU's Bilingual Authorization program celebrated its first graduates!

Having introduced the program last fall, 30 student successfully completed courses making them eligible to teach a Spanish dual language immersion or bilingual class.

Led by Dr. Angelica Hurtado, Ed.D., teaching alongside Dr. Mayra Herrera, Ed.D and Dr. Dewitt Ortuno-Davari, this program was implemented to meet the growing need of bilingual teachers in California.
