What an honor to travel to Denver to the National Western with Giana Biagioni as she was recognized as 1 of only 10 students to receive a generous scholarship through the National Western Scholarship Trust!

Betty and Fritz built a legacy that will continue to create incredible opportunities for students involved in the equine and ranch management industries.

The scholarship was awarded during the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Betty Knoebel Equestrian Arena. What an eye opening experience to what the western industry has to offer not only to Giana, but to generations to come.

Giana has already graduated with two degrees here at Central Wyoming College and is now onto her BAS with her focus in Ag Leadership. Her dream is to possibly become an extension agent to help support our younger generation in Ag and Equine. She is a future leader and we are so proud of her.

This looks like a great opportunity for a scholarship for one of our ag or equine students.

Application is due November 13th.

We are proud to offer this $5,000 scholarship specifically to women pursuing careers in agriculture and the skilled trades. Thank you to everyone who supported us and made this possible for the next generation!

This scholarship is dedicated to supporting and empowering the next generation of women in agriculture. Our goal is to recognize a young woman who is passionate about agriculture and is committed to pursuing educational and career opportunities that will strengthen the future of the agricultural industry. We encourage applicants to share their unique story. You do not need to have grown up on a farm or ranch or have a traditional agricultural background to apply. We are interested in your passion, experiences, goals, and vision for the future. By investing in young women today, we hope to help cultivate a stronger, more innovative, and more inclusive agricultural community for tomorrow. Your voice, your vision, your passion, and your leadership can help shape the future of agriculture.

We have some pretty awesome students and supporters here at the Rustler Ag and Equine center.

Thank you Cowboy State Stock Horse Association for supporting our programs. CSSHA has been a long time supporter of our Equine program, rodeo and ranch horse teams.

To say thank you would be an understatement. We are so thankful for their support through not only this scholarship but the events they put on here and support of our classes and students through auditing here at Central Wyoming College.

Hands-on learning in action. 🤠

This week, CWC Animal Science students took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to Riverton Livestock Market, where they attended a live livestock sale, followed by a tour of the CWC Rustler Cattle Company meat lab.

Experiences like these give students a firsthand look at the livestock industry and connect what they’re learning in class to real-world agriculture right here in Wyoming.
