Registration is open for OSHA 510: Occupational Safety & Health Standards for the Construction Industry. This safety training course will be hosted at the Roanoke Higher Education Center from July 13-16, 2026. Offered by the Mid Atlantic OTI Education Center, OSHA 510 covers OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures in the construction industry.

Make your plans now to join us for Appalachian College of Pharmacy's summer camp at the Roanoke Higher Education Center on July 22nd! Open to rising 7th graders and beyond. Learn what a career in pharmacy is all about.

The Appalachian College of Pharmacy invites students entering seventh grade and beyond who are interested in learning more about the pharmacy profession to attend one of our annual pharmacy summer camps.

The camp is free of charge for all attendees. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Activities include learning about the pharmacy profession from expert faculty, conducting patient assessments, exploring pharmacy compounding techniques, practicing pharmacotherapy on a human simulator, hearing from students about their experiences at ACP, attending an admissions workshop session, and taking a tour.

Congratulations, Veronica, and all recent RUC Nursing graduates! 🎉

Meet Veronica Vann, a proud Highlander (and recent ) from Chesterfield County! ❤️‍🩹 Her passion for healthcare began early as she explored the field through an EMT program in high school.

“I did an EMT program through my county in high school as ‘medicine sampler platter,’” Vann said. “I wanted to know if I liked medicine before I invested four years of education in medical training.”

🩺 That experience led her to apply to both nursing and emergency services at Radford University. Ultimately, Vann chose nursing for its diverse opportunities.

“My time at Radford has made me realize that I love healthcare,” Vann said. “I love being there for and helping people. Radford has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow as a nurse. I don’t think I would be here if it weren’t for Radford.”
