DO YOU WANT TO WORK FOR A GREAT SCHOOL SYSTEM? Now is your chance! Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) is hosting a Virtual Career Fair November 19, 2020 from 2 to 3 p.m. Roanoke City Public Schools will provide information about teaching and working for RCPS, how to obtain a Teacher Licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and details about our hiring procedures. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

Congratulations and good luck to Jenny Shamy who deserves this incredible recognition from Roanoke City Public Schools. This was supposed to be a special night for our teachers. Our annual Teacher of the Year Banquet is now on hold because of COVID-19. When the time is right, each nominee will receive a trophy and a gift from Durham School Services.

Blue Ridge Environmental Educators, the regional team of Virginia Association for Environmental Education, is co- hosting a Watershed Education training with Clean Valley Council and the Western Virginia Water Authority. This training would make a dynamic addition to your education.
