Hollins University Career and Life Design welcomed over 25 employers to campus Wednesday for its annual Opportunity Fair.

"Career fairs are about more than filling open roles," Associate Director Amber Becke says. "They are vital launchpads for student growth, connection, and confidence. Every conversation helps our students practice professional communication, refine their pitch, and envision their career pathways."

This year, the fair placed a special emphasis on Hollins' January internship program. Employers were invited to connect with students about short-term internships in addition to full-time roles and spring or summer opportunities, creating meaningful learning moments.

Please join us in congratulating Sofia Wesley '26 and Katrina Finch '27 on their recognition by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia as two of the state’s top interns for 2026. 💼 🎉 👏

Sofia and Katrina both spoke on at 's statewide event in Richmond, where nearly 300 employers, interns, and higher education partners gathered to explore a range of work-based learning topics and honor top interns. Sofia Yanez-Velasquez '27 also attended the event as a Virginia Intern Day Student Ambassador. 💚💛
