Elevate Your Practice.
Looking for continueing education opportunities that make a real impact in your clinical practice? Here's what our participants are saying:
"ACQUIRE framework training has provided an advanced methodology for evaluation and treatment decision-making with clinical application. It has become a backbone for increasing intensity within a session(s) for my patients and families. As a therapist with over 30 years of experience, Mary Rebekah and Dory have become mentors to me. Their ability and insight into what I may need to change in relation to environment/activity, how to enhance shaping or cueing, and determine what reinforcement would be best to incorporate during treatment with children have enabled best OT practice meeting the individual’s goals. ACQUIRE framework training has been a guiding principal in my work with children. I am so grateful to have had this training, it is worth the time and the investment for my career in OT!”

What if the earliest years of life could change everything for a child with cerebral palsy? 👶

New research from the VTC Neuromotor Research Clinic shows that infants and toddlers who receive early, intensive therapy can make lasting improvements in how they use their hands and arms.

In a recent clinical trial, children as young as 6 months old participated in high-dose, play-based therapy for several weeks. The result? Significant gains across multiple therapy approaches and continued progress even months after treatment ended.

Even more encouraging, families and clinicians now have flexible, evidence-based options to choose from, all shown to support critical motor skill development during one of the most important stages of brain growth.

This is a powerful reminder that early action can open new possibilities for children and their futures.

On National Cerebral Palsy Day, we’re spotlighting the importance of personalized care.

New insights from Stephanie DeLuca of the VTC Neuromotor Research Clinic emphasize that choosing the right therapy approach for children with unilateral CP isn’t one-size-fits-all—clinical needs and family goals should guide decisions between options like CIMT and bimanual therapy.

By aligning treatment with each child’s unique goals, we can help maximize outcomes and support meaningful progress. 💚
